Seligor's Castle. The home of Seligor, Diddilydeedot, Dodie, and Dr. Do-Diddily and the Dee-Dot's.

Seligor's Castle is where Seligor, Dr. Do-Diddily and the Dee-Dot's,
Diddilydeedot in Dreamland,
and Dodie's Dream World all work on their websites.
They are all within the children range, though Dodie's does have a lot more classical stuff on it and the little ones might find it a bit boring.
I have just opened a couple of wee nursery pages though just in case you have one on your knee, :)

Each site has it's own home page and index, and I have been very careful not to repeat to many rhymes etc, though Toby and Tilly are in both the Castle and Dreamland and now Diddilydeedot around the world. I have mad up most of the play lists from YouTube and google. But please always check these as sometimes you get the odd person who thinks its smart to change the content. I have looked through almost 7,000 videos on you tube alone, so you can imagine how many there are.
Many of the stories, myths tales, rhymes come from books well past their hundredth birthday. I have always collected old books and up until recently sold many on Amazon. But now I use all my spare time on the websites and blogging sites.
Then there are songs to sing, many, many new rhymes to learn and pass on to the future generations.
I have been on line over fours year now and also have my Zoomshare, Wordpress, Delicious, Twitter and Facebook. Best wishes xxx Seligor

Lucian of Samosata. A story from Armenia.

ARMENIA

South western Asia,

Few details of Lucian's life can be verified with any degree of accuracy.
He claimed to have been born in Samosata, in the former kingdom of Commagene,
which had been absorbed by the Roman Empire and made part of the
province of Syria. In his works, Lucian refers to himself as a
"Syrian," "Assyrian" and "barbarian", perhaps indicating "he was from the Semitic and not the imported Greek population" of Samosata. His birthplace was recently lost when the Atatürk Dam project led to the inundation of the site.
I have to say upon reading this and other of his works, he really did
have a terrible sense of humour. A bit of a rogue as well. Some works
say he was Armenian, but Turkey seems to be there and Assyrian. I found
more Armenian, so to me that is what I shall stick with..

INSIDE A WHALE
A very fishy story by an ancient writer with a lively imagination

LUCIAN OF SAMOSATA
( 120 AD - 170 AD approx)
Lucian of Samosata
When we had made only two days' sail in the water,
as soon as the third day appeared, about sunrising, upon a sudden we saw many monstrous fishes and whales; but one above the rest containing in greatness fifteen hundred furlongs,
which came gaping upon us and troubled the sea round about him, so that he was compassed on every side with froth and foam, showing his teeth afar off, which were longer than any beech trees are with us, all as sharp as needles, and as white as ivory; then we took, as we thought, our last leave of one another, and embracing together, excepting our ending day.
