Seligor's Castle. The home of Seligor, Diddilydeedot, Dodie, and Dr. Do-Diddily and the Dee-Dot's.

Seligor's Castle is where Seligor, Dr. Do-Diddily and the Dee-Dot's,
Diddilydeedot in Dreamland,
and Dodie's Dream World all work on their websites.
They are all within the children range, though Dodie's does have a lot more classical stuff on it and the little ones might find it a bit boring.
I have just opened a couple of wee nursery pages though just in case you have one on your knee, :)

Each site has it's own home page and index, and I have been very careful not to repeat to many rhymes etc, though Toby and Tilly are in both the Castle and Dreamland and now Diddilydeedot around the world. I have mad up most of the play lists from YouTube and google. But please always check these as sometimes you get the odd person who thinks its smart to change the content. I have looked through almost 7,000 videos on you tube alone, so you can imagine how many there are.
Many of the stories, myths tales, rhymes come from books well past their hundredth birthday. I have always collected old books and up until recently sold many on Amazon. But now I use all my spare time on the websites and blogging sites.
Then there are songs to sing, many, many new rhymes to learn and pass on to the future generations.
I have been on line over fours year now and also have my Zoomshare, Wordpress, Delicious, Twitter and Facebook. Best wishes xxx Seligor

VeggieGolf - Tomato

Difficulty: Average
Parental supervision is recommended

Golf with a tomato? Make all the Veggie Tales characters into a kids' game of croquet with this corrugated plastic craft.

What you'll need:

  • Green corrugated plastic
  • Red corrugated plastic
  • White corrugated plastic
  • Black "Painters" paint marker
  • Extremely sharp scissors
  • Wire coat hanger
  • Wire cutters
  • Pen or pencil
  • Something circular to use for a pattern, like a lid to a bucket
  • Scotch brand super strength Mounting Tape
  • Ruler
  • 3-4" plastic balls in different colors
  • Inexpensive plastic golf clubs

How to make it:

  1. Using the circular object for a pattern, trace a circle on the red corrugated plastic. Make the circle about 12 inches in diameter.
  2. Cut out the red circle with the extremely sharp scissors.
  3. Draw a smaller circle at the base of the large red circle with pencil. When you draw the circle, make sure that the lines on the corrugated plastic are vertical so that you can put wire through it when you are finished. Make the smaller circle about 6 inches in diameter. This is where the ball will go through.
  4. Cut the smaller circle out.
  5. Cut 2 oval shaped eyes out of the white corrugated plastic that are about 3.5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.
  6. Cut a circular nose that is about 2 inches in diameter in the red corrugated plastic.
  7. Cut the tomato's leaves and stem out of green corrugated plastic. (See photo)
  8. Attach the tomato's eyes, nose and leaves with the mounting tape.
  9. Draw the inside of the tomato's eyes with the black paint marker.
  10. Cut the hook off of the wire hanger with wire cutters.
  11. Straighten out the hanger, bend one end back towards itself (this is the top).
  12. Push it down through the top of the tomato so it will stick in the ground.
  13. Play the game by taking turns hitting your ball through a maze of veggie characters. First one through the maze wins!

Tips:

You can also use regular cardboard and paint it if you can't get corrugated plastic, but it won't be as durable.
Corrugated plastic is made by several manufacturers. It is known as Stratocore or Coreplast, along with other names. Check your local hobby store.
Here below are four more characters, these are from the Kaboose Veggie Tales. However you could make fun ones from pictures of Pokemon, nursery Rhymes, Big Cats, etc anything. Once you have made the Tomatoe with ther instruction, appling them to the other characters should be pretty easy.
Of course you can also as for help from bigger hands. Wink
